Privacy Notice — Parent Portal, Techawit School

Techawit School, licence no. 001/2560, is the data controller for your personal data and that of the child under your care. This portal shows information the School already holds about your child — grades, attendance, class timetable, height, weight and health check results, school fees, the school calendar, early-pickup requests, school announcements, and messages between you and your child's homeroom teachers — to parents whose identity the School has verified. We do this to perform the enrolment agreement and to meet our duties under Thai education law, so no consent is required and you need not tick any box.

For this portal specifically, we collect your email address and Google account, together with access records comprising date, time and IP address, to verify you and keep the system secure. Access records are kept for one year. Data is held by our service providers Supabase, Vercel and Google, and notifications are delivered through your device maker's notification service, such as Apple or Google. Academic and financial records continue to be retained under Ministry of Education regulations and the Accounting Act as before. If you do not provide an email we cannot open an account for you, but you will continue to receive paper documents as usual.

Messages you send to the homeroom teachers through this portal can be read and answered by your child's homeroom teachers and by school administrators or staff the School assigns, to maintain the quality of our service; replies from staff are shown as coming from the School. We record when messages are sent and read and how long replies take, as internal service statistics. Your responses to announcements — acknowledgements, event replies and votes — are recorded against your child. For anonymous votes, the School does not show names in the results, but the system still links each response to the child to prevent duplicate answers. If you turn on notifications on a device, we store that device's notification address so we can tell you about new teacher messages and announcements; notifications never contain the message text, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings. Messages are kept while your child is enrolled and for 60 days after your child leaves the School, then deleted.

You have the right to access and obtain a copy, rectify, erase, restrict, object, port your data, and lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Committee. We answer requests within 30 days.
